Representative Arts and Community Projects

A few of the theater, music, dance arts projects I have worked on include:

  • XOZone - an online serial video series created in 1999, before the advent of broadband, but still cool for its sci-fi vibe and audience participation aspect. Pushing the bandwidth boundaries a bit at that point in time to deliever video in 320x240 pixels. Ha!

  • Sacrificio - a rock, sci-fi musical I wrote and directed with support from the Austin Arts Commission

  • Jaliba! Live at One World - Rob directed the mulit-cam shoot and I did camerawork for this African maestro.

  • Early Austin Radio - a documentary  series I co-produced for the Austin Music Network with Rob Donald. Topics included early Austin radio personalities (Lalo Campos) and musical recording artists including Dr. Hep Cat and the Bells of Joy (first million selling recording by an Austin band in the early 1950s.)

  • 039 - A music video for the local band "Cerronato". We came in 2nd in the Austin music awards, losing to Robert Rodriquez and Los Lonely Boys (national recording artists).

  • Austin Circle of Theaters - Board of Directors

  • South X Southwest - Mentoring Sessions producer & event management (4 years)

  • Torch Song Trilogy - Off Broadway I was the company manager; on Broadway, I was the Assistant Director. Happily we won the Tony Award in 1983 for Best Play of the Year.

WATCH NOW - 039

In SD, here is the 039 video created with the local band, Cerronato. We won 2nd place as Austin Music Video of the Year to a group with 100x the budget we had. Ck out Cerronato's music HERE!
