A single woman farming in 1890s Texas had a lonely life. Gretyl sees a distorted version of herself in the water trough and dreams of release. To be or not. Not tonight.

Designed to be presented on 23 screens with multiple images/edits. The images on the multiple screens interact with each other and the audience.

The original installation design emphasized the electronic loneliness of our modern, fractured, digital experience (where we are pioneers experimenting with our own perceptions and identities) and connected it with the isolation and identity creation of the no-tech pioneers. That experience was both personal and presentational.
